John Moore Appointed CFO of Nihon Cyber Defence to Support Rapid Company Growth

Nihon Cyber Defence (NCD) (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Cartan McLaughlin), a company pioneering sovereign cyber technology in Japan, today announced the appointment of John Moore as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Moore brings over two decades of financial leadership experience across APAC.

Purpose of Appointment

Moore’s appointment marks a significant step in NCD’s mission to enhance Japan’s digital sovereignty and resilience. As CFO, he will oversee financial planning, risk management, and capital strategy, supporting NCD’s development of a fully Japan-built cyber defence platform.

“I am honoured to join NCD at this critical juncture,” said Moore. “In an era where cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated, building robust, sovereign defences is paramount. I look forward to contributing to NCD’s vision of securing Japan’s digital future.”

“John’s deep expertise in financial strategy and governance will be instrumental as we scale our operations and invest in next-generation cyber capabilities,” said Cartan McLaughlin, CEO of NCD. “His leadership will ensure that our growth aligns with Japan’s national security priorities.”
