This event will consist of experts from Nihon Cyber Defence and Anderson Mori & Tomotsune discussing Ransomware as well as the legal and technical aspects of protection of corporate and personal data along with the duties of Directors in these areas.

Outline

It seems that every day there is news of another significant cyber attack. Driven by a new business model and exploiting our increased digital dependency in a COVID world, there has been a dramatic increase in the number, sophistication and impact of cyber attacks. No sector or country is immune. There is certainly compelling evidence that Japan is a high priority target of cyber attacks.
John Noble from Nihon Cyber Defence will explore the factors behind this dramatic increase in attacks. He will also set out the measures that all organisations should be taking to reduce their chance of being impacted. He will draw on his experience of helping many companies deal with ransomware attacks to explain best practice in conducting both the technical response and wider incident management.
